Waste Classification

The waste classification involves the assessment of soil (either via in-situ soil sampling or stockpile sampling) for off-site disposal purposes, including the review of the site's history so we can identify which contaminants require analysis to determine the hazard category (Fill, Category A, B or C contaminated soil).

The soil samples will be collected in accordance with the soil sampling guidance. Depending on the outcome of the insitu soil sampling or stockpile sampling, leachability may also be required prior to of-site disposal. A waste classification letter will be prepared and submitted to the receiving facility prior to off-site disposal.
